Description
In 1870, William S. Wooton foundedthe Wooton Desk Company in Indiana.
His desks were owned by Queen Victoria,
Joseph Pulitzer, J.P. Morgan,
John D. Rockefeller, four
U.S. Presidents and others.
This desk is a reproduction
of the famous Wooton Desk.
Also called The King of Desks.
Excellent condition.
A few years ago, several small
"bubbles" appeared in the
front curved veneer. Then
nothing since.
Six small scratches in the upper right
that do not show up in photos.
Otherwise the condition is like new.
Oak wood and finish.
Brass hinges, lock, pull,
mail drop and desk lamp.
Two keys.
Secret compartments.
Doors can be removed
for easier moves.
This desk was built around 1975-1981
for a furniture retailer here in
Denver and has been in our smoke-free
home since 1982.
We are downsizing and will miss
this desk. It has been a part of
the family.
